Footprints In Snow Lead To Woman's Arrest For Burglary In Greenwich

A woman who allegedly committed a burglary in Greenwich has been arrested after officers followed her footprints in the snow, police say.

Greenwich Police responded to the area of 23 Woodland Drive on Sunday, March 3 around 7:30 p.m. on the report of suspicious activity.

Officers observed footprints in the snow that led to the back of an abandoned home. During a subsequent search of the home, the 47-year-old suspect, identified as Jeaterai Zuzim, with no known address, allegedly attempted to escape through a basement window.

Further investigation revealed that Zuzim did not have permission to be inside the residence.

Zuzim was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal trespassing. She was unable to post her $2,500 bond and is being held at Greenwich Police Department. Zuzim is scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court on Monday, March 18.
